There is a simple and strict procedure for all children needing to take any form of medication whilst at school.

Parents must complete a "Deed of Indemnity" form, available from the school. Medication will not be administered without this completed form. This includes "temporary" medications such as antibiotics.

Where an ongoing condition exists, such as asthma, a "Medical Advice to School" form should be completed by a parent and medical practitioner.

All medication must be taken, for safe storage, to Mrs Ioakim at the Front Office on arrival at school and not left in a student's bag at school.

A "puffer", however, should be kept with the student in his/her pocket, or more preferably, in a "bumbag" around the waist.

Medication should be clearly labelled with the child’s name, class, required dosage & times to be administered. The administering of all medication will only take place at the Front Office, under the supervision of Mrs Ioakim.
